The moogles at the Mog House Management Union (MHMU) have painstakingly hand-picked the winners from a whopping 400-plus quality entries. With quirkily cute ladies, graciously gallant femme fatales, and bodaciously beautiful maidens of the battlefield among those who made it into the list, we've no doubt you will thoroughly enjoy this year's fan portrayals of "The Ladies of Vana'diel," kupo!

A host of new magic and job abilities will be added to a number of jobs for the next version update. For example, teleport spells for the white mage, a warp spell for the black mage, sneak ninjutsu for the ninja, elemental spirit MP absorption ability for the summoner, and new automaton weapon skills for the puppetmaster.

Following the immense popularity of last year's Fan Art Contest, a similar contest will be held this year around the time of the Doll Festival. We will therefore be accepting all fan art submissions under the theme of "The Ladies of Vana'diel," beginning today up until Monday, March 3rd. Be sure to get your submission in on time!

FINAL FANTASY XI mascot straps have been added to the Square Enix Official Online Merchandise Store! Visit the store and pick up a strap to hang on your cell phone, camera, or your favorite portable game system!

There is a New Year's Event going on in FFXI online, and Square is running it until January 14, 2008. There is not much detail available on their website, but check out what is there, maybe you can figure it out!

The creators of the still-popular Final Fantasy XI Online MMO for PC discussed both the team's next-gen MMO, and how the juggernaut called World of Warcraft has affected the MMO scene. The new MMO should start to be revealed in 2008, and as for WoW affecting the MMO industry, well we all pretty much know the side effects by now.

Vana'diel Collection 2008 will include a single registration code integrating PlayOnline and all FINAL FANTASY XI contents into one code.
